One Month Today
Corbin's already a month old, can you believe it?! Okay, you probably can but it does not seem like he's been with us this long. The month has flown by and we've been loving life with two kids. Lydia is adjusting well and so are the rest of us. I'm re-learning that you really can't do a lot of things one-handed and I try to remember that the most important thing is making sure my kids are feeling loved and having their needs met... not that all of the dishes get done. We've really been taken care of though by family, friends and our ward members.
It was so great to have my parents drop by for the day. It almost felt like they just lived a short drive away. Maybe soon. We had such a fun time watching the grandparents and grandkids bask in attention from each other. It was especially neat watching Lydia find the perfect playmate in my dad. Q, Mom, and I sat on a bench at the park while she had him running and pretending all over the place. The best was when he came towards us from across the playground with his fists extended in front of him... it took us a bit to realize he was "driving" to school as he'd been directed. By the end of the day it was a good thing that Lydia had received extensive training in the naptime routine so she could put it to use for a wasted Grandpa. She made sure he had a blankie and pillow and then read him stories until he was gone.

We're excited to get to go spend a couple more days with them in Cincinnati and then this weekend Quintin's sister and brother-in-law will be coming in for a week. It should be a blast with tickets to Wicked, a Crew (soccer) game, hikes, cooking, and all sorts of fun outings planned.
Thanks for the updates Ashley! It was fun to finally read your version and look at the pictures. And thanks to everyone for making changes so that the reunion could be when Quintin will be in town too. We're excited to get to spend some quality time with the family. Lots of love!
